Police confirm two DPD officers have been critically injured in a shooting at the Home Depot in Northeast Dallas on Tuesday afternoon.
DPD’s active calls list showed an “assist officer” with ambulances call around 4 p.m. near the Home Depot off of Forest Lane and Central Expressway.
“We can confirm that two @DallasPD officers have been shot and critically wounded,” the police department tweeted. “We will provide updates as we get them. Please pray for our officers and their families.”
DPD also confirmed a civilian was shot, but their condition is unknown. Witnesses at the scene told FOX4 reporters that the civilian was a Home Depot loss prevention officer.
“We were just checking out people until we started hearing people like ‘There’s a shooting. They’re shooting,'” said witness Mercedes Goledo. “From there, they were just telling us to get out the building. Get out the building. But then they found out that he had went outside.”
SKY 4 video shows dozens of police units searching the woods behind the Home Depot for the suspect connected to the incident.
Multiple sources tell FOX 4 that police are searching for 29-year-old Armando Juarez in connection with the shooting.
The ATF said it’s also responding to the scene.
