So a guy who used to work as a Verizon lawyer is now the chair of the FCC, and he’s working to dismantle net neutrality, giving even more power to internet service providers like Verizon and Comcast, while taking away opportunity for everyone else. We must fight to keep net neutrality to make sure that there’s a level playing field for everyone, so that entrepreneurs, independent journalists, and other content creators are free to continue connecting with their audience without interference. Now without net neutrality, internet providers will be able to throttle internet speeds, block websites behind paywalls, unfairly favor some content over others, and charge you extra fees for high-quality streaming. The FCC is going to vote on net neutrality on December 14.
