Campaign Finance

If you want to get corporations out of government, just make it impossible for government to grant special favors. If there were no unfair special privileges to buy, no corporation would have any reason to spend millions on political campaigns.

Corporate Welfare & Crony Capitalism

Each year, TANF (what most people consider “welfare”) costs taxpayers about 60 billion dollars. At the same time, direct corporate welfare costs taxpayers about 92 billion. And that doesn’t include the trillions in unneeded projects that enrich lobbyist backed corporations.

The Libertarian Party absolutely opposes all corporate welfare, bailouts, and subsidies. We support a truly free market, not a market in which politically connected corporations get huge unfair advantages.
