Rose McGowan Aims at Alyssa Milano in Intense Nightline Interview: ‘I Think She’s a Lie’

Actress Rose McGowan called out her former Charmed co-star Alyssa Milano with incredible intensity in an interview on Nightline Wednesday night regarding the Me Too movement.

Nightline‘s Juju Chang asked McGowan whether she was proud of Milano for helping the #MeToo movement grow to prominence on social media.

“I don’t like her,” McGowan responded, almost in a whisper. “I think she’s a lie.”

When pressed, McGowan began to connect the dots for Chang.

“Do you think I don’t know these people? I’m not looking at this from the outside. I have a lot of experience,” she said. “I know she’s married to a CAA [Creative Artists Agency] agent. Do the math. Who’s behind Time’s Up? CAA. Where do they meet? CAA. Who needs good PR? CAA. Who are part of the pimp problem? CAA.”

“These are very powerful people you’re talking about,” Chang said.

“They are,” McGowan replied. “So am I.”

This isn’t the first time McGowan’s gone off on Milano. Milano is a friend of and has expressed support for Harvey Weinstein’s ex-wife Georgina Chapman, after allegations against the now-disgraced Hollywood mogul came to light. One of the first women to come forward and accuse Weinstein of sexual assault was McGowan, and Milano’s loyalty to Chapman incensed her.

She tweeted an article in People in which Milano defended Chapman and said it made her “want to vomit”:

For her part, Milano released a statement to ABC News, saying that she is and always has been “completely supportive of Rose and admire her bravery in speaking out about her experiences.”
