NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) — The dream has come true, as the all-new Book Express in North Little Rock has begun its second week of phenomenal summer programs.
This week’s theme is health and fitness week, during which kids exercised and heard the story “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs.”
They learned how to make healthy spaghetti, and all about healthcare careers. On the Book Express, a very organized system is designed to keep kids at grade-reading level all summer.
The bus is already making a name for itself, with each stop an event unto itself. Each week has a unique theme. Next week, June 18-21 is community helpers week.
Then, June 25-28 is fine arts week, July 9-12 is Arkansas history week, July 16-19 is math week and the final week, July 23-26 is superheroes week.
