‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Actor Miguel Ferrer Dead At 61

“NCIS: Los Angeles” actor Miguel Ferrer died Thursday after a battle with cancer.He was 61.Ferrer was best known for his role as Owen Granger for seven seasons on the long-running cop show.

“Today, ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ lost a beloved family member,” showrunner R. Scott Gemmill said in a statement.

“Miguel was a man of tremendous talent who had a powerful dramatic presence on screen, a wicked sense of humor, and a huge heart. Our thoughts go out to his wife Lori, his sons, and his entire family. He will be greatly missed.”

Ferrer also played Dr. Garret Macy on “Crossing Jordan” and FBI Agent Albert Rosenfield on “Twin Peaks,” a role he was reprising for the revival airing later this year.

On the big screen, he played Bob Morton, who devised the idea of robotic police officers, in “RoboCop.”

Ferrer is survived by his wife, Lori, sons Lukas and Rafi and his siblings.
