During this time, all RMV Service Centers, the RMV’s website, and all RMV services will be unavailable. Law enforcement isn’t affected by the shutdown and will continue to have access to RMV data at all times.
Services that will be temporarily unavailable
- RMV Service Centers
- RMV transactions at AAA offices
- RMV transactions online at MassRMV.com or Mass.gov/RMV
- Vehicle inspections at inspection stations
- Car registrations or vehicle inspections at car dealerships
All RMV services will come back online at 8 a.m. on March 26.
Our new system will give you an easier, quicker, and more convenient experience with the RMV online, in person, by mail, and by phone. RMV partners, like law enforcement, the insurance industry, municipalities, and others will have more modern ways to do business with the RMV too.
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience, but look forward to delivering you a better experience!
