“Why are you separating families, huh? Why are you separating families?” One protester said to the couple ambushed as they were leaving an event at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C today.
The protesters, advocating for the migrant families separated by officials at the US-Mexico border, also blared an audio recording published by ProPublica of migrant children crying after being taken from their parents.
“Why don’t you leave my husband alone!” Shouted Chao. “You leave my husband alone.”
