Hilarious Meme Explains “Trump Anxiety Derangement Syndrome”

Trump’s Latest Takedown of Fake News Reporters Will Have You Cheering – by Calvin Freiburger

Throughout Donald Trump’s candidacy and presidency, the gift that most keeps on giving has been his persistence in mercilessly skewering the mainstream media at every opportunity, and the latest example might be his most delicious one-liner yet.

Newsmax reports that on Wednesday, the president invited Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson to open a Cabinet meeting with a prayer — and took the opportunity to make a blistering crack at the expense of reporters in attendance.

Trump invited the press pool to stay for the prayer because — and I quote — “you need it more than I do.”

He then turned to Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson and said: “Maybe a good solid prayer and they’ll be honest, Ben. Is that possible?”

Carson went on to deliver the prayer: “We thank you for the president and for Cabinet members who are courageous, who are willing to face the winds of controversy in order to provide a better future for those who come behind us.”

“We’re thankful for the unity in Congress that has presented an opportunity for our economy to expand so we can fight the corrosive debt that has been destroying our future. And we hope that unity will expand even beyond party lines.”

You can watch the glorious moment for yourself right here:

No doubt the pearl-clutching class of moderate and establishment-minded “conservatives” of the “serious” commentary circles recoiled in disgust at these comments, outrageously outraged at the President of the United States for being “mean-spirited,” “petty,” “juvenile,” “unpresidential,” or whatever toward a group of people who might screw up a lot (and suspiciously always in one direction), but really probably have good intentions way deep down.

Yeah, screw that.

Whatever Trump’s intentions may be, the steady stream of high-profile barbs directed at the mainstream media serves a very important purpose: they draw attention to the subject of the press’s dishonesty and bias, and keep that credibility problem from fading to the background of the public’s mind. What’s more, constantly tweaking the press provokes them to become more and more unhinged … resulting in them further discrediting themselves and vindicating Trump’s original criticism in the eyes of rational observers.

Donald Trump’s presidency has hardly been perfect, but it’s also been robustly conservative, massively better than his conservative critics feared, and clearly superior to what we did get from his last two Republican predecessors and what we would have gotten from several of his Republican 2016 competitors. And his refusal to preemptively concede the media battlefield to our leftist tormentors is one of the biggest reasons why he just might end up doing more to move the ball forward in the Left-Right war than even Ronald Reagan.
