Germany Set To Vote On Whether To Fund ‘Feminist Pornography’ To Fight Hurtful Stereotypes

If Germany’s government agrees, Germany’s taxpayers may soon be funding “feminist pornography” in the name of equality and fighting sexism.

According to the Daily Mail, a group of German legislators who are aligned with the majority government, are pushing a law that would require the German people to fund the creation of anti-sexist pornography that features “fat, skinny, young and old people.”

Germany’s state run television networks ARD and ZDF would then broadcast the adult films to fight sexism on the ground.

Apparently, Germany’s younger legislators believe that “mainstream porn generally shows sexist and racial stereotypes in which consent is not a theme and certain ‘optimal’ body types are made as standard.” Mainstream porn also fails to show responsible use of contraception, they argue, and fails to model adequate communications strategies between the two (or, really, several) partners.

Kids who watch porn, they say, get “unrealistic imaginations of sexual life.”

Instead of limiting access to pornography, however, in order to change this system, the answer, for the German government, appears to be to simply make more adult content — just woke adult content.

“In feminist porn there are fat, skinny, young and old people and the sex is enjoyed by everyone,” one legislator told the Mail. “In mainstream porn, sex is like a competitive sport, the focus is only on the woman who often is humiliated, and contraception does not matter. Young people should get more access to feminist porn.”

Strangely enough, Germany isn’t the first country to publicly finance alternative adult films. Sweden spent more than $100,000 in 2009 to finance adult-oriented “short films” to fight sexism.
