A former Playboy model killed herself and her 7-year-old son after jumping from a hotel in Midtown New York City on Friday morning.
The New York Post reports that 46-year-old Stephanie Adams jumped from the Gotham Hotel penthouse at 8:15 a.m. with her son, Vincent, amid an ongoing custody battle with her ex.
Adams was reportedly engaged in a fierce dispute with estranged husband Charles Nicolai, a chiropractor who owns Wall Street Chiropractic & Wellness.
Sources close to the couple said that things were so contentious between the former couple that they would meet at the First Precinct in Tribeca to handover their son, ensuring that “no violence [took] place” during their meet-ups.
Nicolai’s lawyer had recently told Adams that she needed to hand over Vincent’s passport.
Back in 2016, Adams celebrated 24 years as a Playboy centerfold after first appearing at Miss November back in 1992.
Adams won $1.2 million after successfully suing the NYPD for a 2006 incident during which she was reportedly assaulted by a police officer who claimed that she had pulled a gun on him.
