Master Sgt. Catherine G. Murray was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. on Jan. 23, 2018. She was the first female Marine to retire from the Marine Corps, reaching the rank of Master Sgt.
Murray, who lived to be 100 years old, died Dec. 20 at her home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
