Diehl: Why is Warren Advertising in Oklahoma?

Braintree, MA…Today, Representative Geoff Diehl, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, asked why Senator Elizabeth Warren has been advertising in Oklahoma, which happens to be her home state as well as a “Super Tuesday” state in the 2020 Presidential Primary.

A search of Facebook ad archive reveals that Warren launched 12 spots targeting the state of Oklahoma.

“Wrong state, Senator,” said Diehl.  “This is just more evidence that Elizabeth Warren is not interested in representing us in Washington.  She is more focused on her presidential ambitions.  Warren has been calling for more transparency.  She should lead by example and be truthful with Massachusetts voters.”

Last January Diehl challenged Warren to sign a 6 year pledge which she has refused to sign.  On “Meet the Press” with Chuck Todd, she was asked repeatedly to commit to the full 6 year term.  Warren refused again.

“Our state deserves a full time Senator — not a part-time Senator, part-time author, and part-time presidential candidate,” said Diehl.  “My focus is on Massachusetts communities like  New Bedford, Gloucester, Gardner, or Springfield, not Oklahoma.”

Diehl’s pledge stated the following:

The pledge states “I, ____, pledge to the people of Massachusetts that I will serve the full 6 year term, and focus solely on representing their interests in the United States Senate.”

“As your next U.S. Senator, my priorities will not be divided by selling a book or running for another office.  I will be there for Massachusetts from the time I get out of bed in the morning until my head hits the pillow in the evening,” promised Diehl.

Warren has traveled across the country this year to sell her new book.  Her trips have included Michigan, Tennessee, Georgia, New York multiple times, and California multiple times.  She has focused on helping liberal candidates in swing and early primary states.  In 2016 and 2017, she jetted frequently around the country to stump for liberal candidates.  Even Warren’s fundraising efforts have failed to focus on Massachusetts.

“People can count on me.  I won’t neglect them for years,” added Diehl.
