    Windows at the College Football Hall of Fame were shattered, and “dozens of people were seen running in and grabbing items.”

    The College Football Hall of Fame has been vandalized Friday night in downtown Atlanta during protests over the death of George Floyd.

    Windows at the Hall of Fame were shattered, and then looting began.

    According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “dozens of people were seen running in and grabbing items” from the Hall of Fame.

    There also appears to be damage inside the building. 11Alive’s Ryan Kruger tweeted — with video (below) of the scene — that “items inside were destroyed.”

    Some protesters were seen looting the building before several officers arrived to try to maintain order at the $68 million facility, which opened in 2014 to great fanfare after relocating from South Bend, Ind. 

    Several hurled garbage cans and other objects through the glass exterior of the building, which hosts football watch parties and other major events. Some then rushed inside to grab anything they could.
