The 2017 NFL Draft is just around the corner as the Scouting Combine gets started on Friday March 3rd, 2017. With this excitement comes even more hype for the 2017 NFL Drafts Quarterback class that features a few top tier caliber stars at the front of that list including National Champion Deshaun Watson.

Along with Watson the other top of the class names we continue to hear a ton about this offseason are Watson, Mitch Trubisky, Patrick Mahomes and DeShone Kizer. All four of these quarterbacks have been speculated in multiple 2017 NFL Mock Drafts to go in the first round including as many as three of them in the top 10 picks.

Now with that said here is how we view the Top 6 2017 NFL Draft Quarterback prospects.

1. DeShone Kizer, Notre Dame

While Kizer might not hear his name go number one overall or even as the first quarterback off the board come draft day. With that being said the former Fighting Irish quarterback is the more polished quarterback in this draft after showing a ton of upside last season. This included his ability to throw perfectly placed touch passes as well as his ability to make plays on the run.

Possible Landing Spots – Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and Washington Redskins

2. Mitch Trubisky, North Carolina

The Former Tar Heels quarterback might not have the biggest arm but he showed flashes of his big play potential during the 2016 NCAA Football Season. What Trubisky brings to the field and what should make him a very good NFL quarterback is his accuracy as well as his above average athleticism despite being a quarterback.

Possible Landing Spots: San Francisco 49ers, Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills

3. Deshaun Watson, Clemson

With some draft experts placing the Tigers quarterback as low as the fith best quarterback while also being graded out as as mid to low tier draft prospect. In our eyes that isn’t the case as Watson is a true winner who takes the position of quarterback with a ton of pride. Along with that Watson is a game changer who showed his ability to play against NFL style defenses as he led the Tigers to an impressive comeback win over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Possible Landing Spots: New York Giants, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans

4. Davis Webb, California

One name that very easily could be in the same conversation as the guys above is the Bears quarterback Davis Webb. The Bears quarterback has the arm to make all of the throws including some of the big play potential throws deep down the field. Last season Webb threw for nearly 4,300 yards through the air to go along with 37 touchdown passes.

Possible Landing Spots: Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

5 – Pat Mahomes, Texas Tech

Here is one of those quarterbacks that NFL teams tend to look past based on the offensive system he plays in with the Red Raiders. With that said, Mahomes has the potential to be one of the later round quarterback option that could impress many a few seasons down the road. In the end Mahomes possesses both a solid arm as well accuracy including when he is on the move in the pocket.

Possible Landing Spots: Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens & New York Giants.

6. Brad Kaaya, Miami Hurricanes

Kaaya has the height to be an NFL quarterback but his weight may make it hard for him to take the next step forward. Kaaya has a solid arm but lacks play making ability on the run along with struggling when the pressure is on. For Kaaya he will need a strong NFL Combine performance to help move his name up the leaderboard.

Possible Landing Spots: New England Patriots, New York Jets & the Chicago Bears.

That being said all six of these quarterbacks could see their name pop up near the top of the first round as we have seen in the years past.
