BILLINGS – Whether you need a little extra motivation or a social spark, it’s time to get moving for this year’s Montana Women’s Run.
The Women’s Run 2018 Getting Started Clinics kicked off Monday night at the Rocky Bowl on the campus of Rocky Mountain College and on the track at Lockwood School.
The free clinics will take place at 5:30 p.m. every Monday leading up to the Montana Women’s Run, which is set for Saturday May 12.
Renee Coppock, president of the women’s run, says eight weeks is a good amount of time to get ready to walk, jog, run or wheelchair either the two- or five-mile events.
The free clinics include instructor-led exercise and stretching techniques.
And moms, bring the kids. This year, the clinics also feature special activities for children of participants.
For more information, to register online, or to learn about Getting Started Clinics in other communities, go to www.womensrun.org or call the hotline at 406-255-8488.
The Montana Women’s Run promotes women’s health and fitness, with proceeds benefiting local women’s services and scholarships.
