Teacher Appreciation Day 2018 Freebies: Where to Get Free Food and Drinks

Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated during the first full week of May each year, but educators in America get extra love and free stuff on Teacher Appreciation Day, which is observed on the Tuesday of the week.

It is a day “for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives,” according to the National Education Association. Here are the restaurants and stores that will reward teachers with freebies on their special day.

Cicis

The pizza buffet and takeout chain will let teachers dine in the buffet for free with its coupon and a valid school I.D. Educators should contact their local Cicis to make sure the restaurant is participating.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers

The fast-food chain specializing in chicken fingers is offering teachers and faculty with a current school I.D. a free box combo for dine-in or ordered through drive-thru from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The box includes four chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, coleslaw, Texas toast, a packet of its signature sauce and a regular-sized drink.

Zinburger

The wine and burger bar is giving away free shakes to teachers and administrators at all of its east coast locations who dine-in, no purchase necessary.

Bokamper’s Sports Bar & Grill

The Florida-based restaurant is giving teachers their first on the house when they show their educator I.D.

Hot Dog on a Stick

Participating locations of the fast food joint famous for corn dogs are giving educators a free stick item—there’s a cheese stick for vegetarians—with any lemonade purchase with a valid school I.D.

Chipotle

School teachers, faculty and staff who present a valid school I.D. can take advantage of a buy one, get one free offer from 3 p.m. until stores close. Items that apply are burritos, bowls, an order of tacos and salads, for dine-on only.
