Trump Traders Gives Swing States the Opportunity to Swap Their Vote
Gaming the system is difficult, but a website called Trump Traders makes cheating the electoral college fun and easy; and the best part is it’s completely legal.
In 2007, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that vote swapping is “protected by the First Amendment” and using the internet to trade votes is considered “digital free speech” barring any bribes or gifts exchanged for the vote.
According to that decision vote swapping does not constitute “election fraud” nor does it fall into the category of “subversion of the Electoral College”.
In other words, Trump Traders helps Americans swap their Donald Trump votes with those voters in swing-states to influence the Electoral College tally. And co-founders John Stubbs and Richardo Reyes, creators of Republicans for Clinton in 2016 (R4C16) and former advisors for the Bush administration might have found a way to do just that.
R4C16 has a mission, working as a grassroots effort to stop Donald Trump from becoming president, continuing to “wreck the Republican Party”, and basically destroy our individual liberties and national stability.
The organization explained in an op-ed piece : “Republicans everywhere should show up to vote, and those in swing states should vote tactically, for Mrs. Clinton, and for Republicans down ticket. But for voters who can’t quite stomach pulling the lever for the Democrat, offsetting that choice with a pledged vote in another state may make all the difference.”
Unlike the #NeverTrump app , Trump Traders gives voters the ability to “ship your vote to a state where it can’t help Trump win.”
And with 265 active users in 38 states, Trump Traders is promising to shake up the vote after being active just as week and a half ago with an estimated 10,000 new sign ups just since Halloween.
