Three historic victories to celebrate!
Public records reform, transgender non-discrimination, and equal pay for equal work. Individually, each of these landmark reforms is a big deal. Collectively, they represent enormous leadership on the part of our great Commonwealth. I couldn’t be more proud.
Thank you for all that you do to make our state more transparent, our residents more safe, and our economy more fair.
There is, of course, so much more work to do to protect the civil rights and liberties of Massachusetts residents, particularly in the areas of eliminating racial disparities, smart reform of our criminal justice system, and safeguarding digital security and privacy in the 21st century. I look forward to seeing this legislature make further strides next session.
In the meantime, I want to reiterate my appreciation for this session’s significant accomplishments. In the wake of a very busy end of session, I hope you can take a moment to celebrate this terrific progress.
