Rick Steves Touring Massachusetts to Build Support for Yes on 4

Rick Steves, host of the hit PBS series “Rick Steves’ Europe” and prominent marijuana policy reform advocate, will donate time and money to the effort to legalize, regulate and tax marijuana in Massachusetts, the Yes on 4 campaign announced today.

Steves is America’s leading authority on European travel. Next month he will cross Massachusetts on a four-day tour to discuss why voters should support Question 4. Steves has also offered a matching donation of up to $100,000.

Steves was a driving force behind legalization efforts in Washington, Colorado and Oregon.

“There are so many reasons to end the prohibition on marijuana. Whether you’re concerned about the well-being of children, fairness for our minority communities, redirecting money away from criminals and into our state’s coffers, stemming the horrific bloodshed in Mexico, or civil liberties, it is clearly time for a new approach,” Steves said.
