Joseph D. Early Jr., Worcester County District Attorney’s Office Statement on Vanessa Marcotte Murder
We’ve made some progress in the case. I have a brief statement in Vanessa Marcotte’s homicide.
We believe that there was a struggle between Vanessa and her killer. The assailant, who we know was a man, may have sustained injuries in that struggle, specifically scratches, scrapes and or bruises.
Therefore, we would ask that anyone who has observed a male with these types of injuries that would have been fresh earlier this week to please contact us at the State Police Tipline at 508-453-7589.
Evidence and information we have developed so far leads us to believe that there was a struggle between Vanessa and her assailant resulting in scratches, scrapes or bruises. Anyone who has observed a male with these types of injuries in the past few days, please contact the State Police Tipline at 508-453-7589.
Also, are now focusing on a more narrow timeframe, between 1 and 3 p.m. on Sunday on Brooks Station Road. Anyone who observed a vehicle, moving or parked, on that road during the timeframe of 1 to 3 p.m. time frame should contact the State Police Tipline at 508-453-7589.
