The Dallas Cowboys are currently enjoying their bye week, and they are one team that definitely deserves it. The Cowboys have been very busy as of recent, and it will be interesting to see what the next few days will bring (Click here for top rated football lines).

People have already begun speculating about the return of Morris Claiborne and Lael Collins, both of whom were previously injured, to practice. There is also talk of the team’s signing of Jonathan Cooper who will definitely boost their offensive line.

Randy Gregory’s suspension has caused some uncertainty, with fans waiting for the decision regarding the issue with baited breath. January will bring with it a number of challenges for the Cowboys, with potential opponents including the Lions, Giants, and Packers.

Detroit Lions

The Cowboys would probably love to play a game against Detroit. The Lions are the perfect opponent right now, especially after the Week 16 beat down. Everyone is always talking about the strength of the Lions’ quarterback play; however, Stafford’s injury in Week 14 has obviously compromised things.

The Lions are currently on a losing streak that they are still struggling to overcome as they limp into the playoffs. Eric Ebron and Zach Zenner surprised fans in Week 16, allowing the Lions to show signs of brilliance.

However, Detroit was eventually outmatched by the cowboys. Few people actually believe that the Lions could actually overcome the cowboys.

New York Giants

There was a time when the Giants were actually competing with the Cowboys for the NFC East Crown this season. Their defense has proven exceptional, allowing the Giants to give the Cowboys their first two losses of the season.

Now that Jason Pierre-Paul is likely to join the lineup, the Giants are bound to present an even more formidable challenge to the Cowboys. For the Cowboys, it would be shameful to lose three times to the same team in a single season.

But it isn’t like Dallas is afraid of New York. Sure, their defense is something to behold, but the Giants have continued to struggle with an inept offense. Their defense couldn’t possibly hold up against assaults from Dez Bryant, Dak Prescott, Jason Witten and the like.

Despite what was assumed a while back, the Giants wouldn’t be the biggest threat facing the cowboys.

2016-7 NFL Wildcard Week Playoff Game Predictions

Green Bay Packers

October 17th, 2016 saw the Dallas Cowboys trounce the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The team made a truly impressive showing, especially Prescott, Zeke and David Irving.

Aaron Rodgers quickly promised to turn the Packers around and return them to winning form, and he did just that. The Packers have won their last six games of this season, beating three playoff teams in the process. The way Rodgers has been shredding opposing pass defenses with touchdowns should worry Dallas. No pundit right now can confidently tell you which of the two, Rodgers and Prescott, will come out ahead in the Super Bowl MVP race.

A game against the packers would be interesting; a Giants matchup would be less enticing because it would be the third one, and the Dallas would be more likely to sneak a win past New York than Green Bay.
